Primary psychology, developed by Andrew J. Galambos, is a new integrative approach to an older discipline of psychology, where the new inputs are drawn from physics and its derivative, volitional science. Galambos’ approach to psychology is from a fundamentally different point of view than that of the past. However, the conclusions from this approach to psychology are not intended to take issue with the older conclusions of psychology obtained from biological, medical, and clinical points of view. Prof. Galambos presented this new approach to psychology to live audiences beginning in the year 1975. This 8-volume series (PBVS-273, volumes 1-8) contains the first 40 sessions of the course PBVS-273: An Introduction to the Theory of Subvolition (Primary Psychology)—Part I. This is the first application of the professor’s theory of primary property to the subject of psychology. PBVS-274: An Introduction to the Theory of Subvolition (Primary Psychology)—Part II (also 40 sessions, containing volumes 9-16) is the second part of his theory of primary psychology. PBVS-275 is the third and concluding part of this theory.
The course title explicitly indicates that physics (P) is the governing science and that biology (B) and volition (V) are downstream derivatives from physics, and that subvolition (S) (“primary psychology”) is a subscience of physics, biology, and volition in the knowledge flowstream. This approach is based upon Galambos’ development of volitional science (course V-50) and the theory of primary property (course V-201), which originally were only available in oral and taped form. Today, courses V-50 and V-201 are available in written form in Galambos’ 15-volume magnum opus Sic Itur Ad Astra published by Spaceland Publications in 2024. These courses are the basis for these new insights into psychology, which determine the sources of various behavioral characteristics of human beings.
